Cocoa agroforestry: a climate-smart agriculture option in Ivory Coast

Karen is an agronomist working on the assessment of cocoa-based agroforestry systems. Her research work combines field experimentation and modelling approaches She is currently located in Ivory Coast where she works closely with cocoa farmers in the frame of an European project named Cocoa4Future.
This project aims to use agroforestry to make cocoa farms less vulnerable by identifying levers for agricultural and socioeconomic sustainability, while preserving the environment.
