Aline MOSNIER
Scientific Director, FABLE Consortium (France)
Aline Mosnier is the Scientific Director of the FABLE Consortium (Food, Agriculture, Biodiversity, Land-use, and Energy). She works with researchers in more than 20 countries to develop quantitative trajectories for food and land-use systems that are more sustainable in the long term and consistent on a global scale. She coordinates fundraising, modeling work, and publications for the Consortium. In 2018, she created the FABLE calculator, an open Excel-based model of food and land use systems, of which different country versions now exist. Before joining SDSN, Aline worked at the International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis (IIASA), where she contributed to the development of the GLOBIOM global partial equilibrium model, particularly on aspects related to international trade and tropical deforestation and forest degradation. Aline holds a PhD in Agricultural and Environmental Economics from the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences, Vienna (BOKU) and a Master’s degree in Development Economics from CERDI-University of Auvergne in Clermont-Ferrand.
